Do I need a GyroPalm wearable to participate in the hackathon?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you will need a GyroPalm wearable to participate. However, there is no purchase necessary. If you attend the hackathon in-person, you can check-out a wearable device for the one week duration of the hackathon. Optionally, you may purchase a GyroPalm wearable device if desired.

Question 2

How long can I stay at the event venue to work on my project?

Accepted Answer

Although the duration of the GyroPalm Vertex hackathon is one week, you are only expected to be in-person on the kickoff on Friday 3/24 and finale on Friday 3/31, both from 6-10pm. Unless you have a membership at Circuit Launch, you will not have access to the venue outside of those times.

Question 3

Should I bring my laptop?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you are encouraged to bring your laptop to participate in-person. However, you are responsible for your belongings as GyroPalm and Circuit Launch are not liable for any loss or theft.

Question 4

Will food be provided?

Accepted Answer

Free food and drink will be provided on a first-come first-serve basis during the kickoff. While there is no guarantee, we do our best to cater to all RSVP guests.

Question 5

What about shoutouts, spotlights, and sponsorships?

Accepted Answer

If your company is interested in sponsoring this event, we would be happy to promote your brand in the form of a shoutout or brief speaker spotlight. Please contact dlee(@)gyropalm.com with your request.

Where do I submit my hackathon project?

Accepted Answer

All hackathon entries must be submitted at the GyroPalm Vertex platform (https://gplm.app/vertex) prior to Thursday 3/30/23 at 11:59 PM PT (midnight) to be considered for award. GyroPalm reserves the right to disqualify inappropriate or irrelevant entries without notice.
